Are you wanting to take your healing to another level through mental, physical, and spiritual yoga practices? If so, then yoga therapy may be the answer for you! Yoga therapy is a good fit for those on a healing journey and looking for alternative ways to grow. While my therapy practice is located in Austin, TX, I am able to provide yoga therapy no matter where you are in the world with online sessions.

There are many benefits to yoga therapy. It helps you take a deeper dive into the mind-body connection, which strengthens your relationship with yourself. With tools to help you integrate the mind, body, and spirit, yoga therapy can aid in and expand your healing process.

In yoga therapy sessions, we will focus on physical yoga postures and breathing exercises. These will be paired with meditation and guided imagery to improve both your mental and physical health. The focus of yoga therapy is holistic in that it helps focus the integration of mind, body, and spirit. This works to help heal and grow in your life and relationships.

Working with a yoga therapist from wherever you are can help you build a stronger internal relationship with your body and emotions. At my Austin-based practice, we help people find more intuitiveness with their physical body and find hope in what they want for their life.

If you choose to pursue yoga therapy with me, you will be working with me and the experience and education I bring with me. I have a masters degree in counseling, a 500 hour yoga teacher certificate, as well as a certification in Yoga Therapy. I also employ my experience as a certified Feel Good Life Methodology practitioner. As a result, I utilize techniques that encompass a whole body approach; using talk therapy, somatic practices, nervous system realignment and brain training.

Additionally, I knows what it’s like to want more for yourself. You don’t want just healing, but transformation and a feeling of thriving. I’ve been on both sides of the healing process, whether that be working on getting out of a state of deep anxiety, a trauma response, depression or connecting deeper to myself on a spiritual level.

My Approach to Yoga Therapy

I have a deep understanding of how trauma and life circumstances play a part in our mental health and overall wellness. With approaches rooted in neuroscience and holistic healing, yoga therapy can help you become in tune with your mind, body, and spirit. I believe that you have that ability to find wellness. A yoga therapist is just there to guide you along in the process.

My hope for you after yoga therapy is that you feel more at peace with your true self. To get there, we will use tools such as meditation, breathing techniques, yoga poses, and perception checking. With all of these elements, a yoga therapist can help you improve your psychological well-being, support a healthy nervous system, and improve oxygen delivery to tissues throughout the body.

If you are in the Austin, TX area, you may meet with me for in-person yoga therapy sessions. However, if you are anywhere else in the world, you can meet with me for online yoga therapy sessions. Regardless of how we meet, yoga therapy sessions will help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and psychological patterns. Gaining this insight will help bring more peace and calm to your nervous system.

Typically, a yoga therapy session will look like talking at the beginning to discuss and work through current stressors. After processing, I will guide you through a practice of either meditation, breathwork, or physical postures. These are meant to help you get in tune with your breath, body, and mind, to support your struggles with the current and ongoing issues.

I bring an open mind and open heart to her sessions, welcoming anyone to the space who is interested. No prior knowledge of yoga is necessary and all levels are welcome. This space exists to help you feel more comfortable in your life in making decisions, working through problems, finding peace, and overall well-being. In yoga therapy, I give you the skills to do all this on your own. So, even after yoga therapy, you’ll have skills to take with you throughout life.
